Director Oscar Boyson had a fun idea for 2017’s Pixar Summit: an irreverent and hilarious mockumentary-style short profiling revered (and fictional) fashion icon Edna Mode.
We took an in-progress project with an extremely tight turnaround and wove raw interview audio with audio from actual Pixar films. The biggest challenge was matching the cinematic quality of the movies with quickly-recorded dialogue (it turns out Kendall Jenner has other things to do), along with translating a 5.1 mix to a special mix for a live hall.
